After that we came home and napped for a couple of hours (making our sleep total about 6 hours ontop of the residual jet lag). After which we went to lunch and then took a subway ride to the National Peace Park which was pretty cool, but our camera ran out of batteries (good thing Grandmom had a back up!!) It was an attempt to keep him up until 8 or 9 hoping he'd sleep through the night. It didn't work so well. He was up until about 3 this morning. But last night instead of being a ball of energy, he was screaming. We think that it was a combo of teething and being scared of his new surroundings. He's really good with us during the day, he laughs and holds on to us, but at night he seems pretty frightened. We ended up taking turns walking with him so the other could sleep and then we put him in bed with us, which is something we did not want to do, but it got him to sleep and made it easier when he woke up every hour to hour and a half. Hopefully we will be able to get him back into the crib before we leave. We have a king size bed here and he takes up most of it, this isn't going to work so well at home in our full bed with possibly a cat also trying to claim a space. (Those of you who are saying just close the cat out of the room have never tried it with our cat.)
Any way - he's sleeping now and we are just going to let him until he decides to wake up. We think we got our visa done yesterday, so we are going to check up on that and try to come home early so we can have some extra time for him to adjust to that transition before I have to go back to school.
Thanks for all of your posts and emails! It is really awesome to feel your support and love all the way over her in Taiwan! We love you and can't wait to bring him home to meet all of you!
Here are some pictures from yesterday's outing!
