The Philly Zoo!!
This was Trevor's second trip to the zoo with us and, unlike his first trip during which he looked like this for most of the day:
at the Philly Zoo, he mostly looked like this:

He did take a short nap after lunch and slept through a lot of animals I think he would have really liked (such as the red panda and the fishing cat) but he saw a lot of other animals. In the reptile house, he kept making the sign for more and pointing to the next window. He had a fun time at the petting zoo, but wasn't so sure about feeding the pigeons. Anyway - here are some pictures of our day!

Random Pictures of Grandpop Marshall's Visit

Trevor liked to play cars with Grandpop because Grandpop made fun sounds while "driving". (Notice Grandpop's cool shirt. Go SU!)

Our weekend at Aunt Bettina's
We had a great time at Aunt Bettina's last weekend! Her farm is very quiet and relaxing and it was nice to have a chance to catch up. Here are a few pictures.
Grandpop and Trevor at a rest stop on the way to Aunt B's.
Chillin' out in the pool. Trevor liked Bettina's pool better than ours...Maybe because it is heated.
Here we all are with the horses, Sassy, Gent, and Cartoon. Trevor loved all of Bettina's animals. He and Diamond the cat were friends right away. He was getting comfortable with the dogs, Basil and Lulu. By the time we left, he was finally at the point where he was comfortable petting them if Al or I were close. But he was fascinated by the horses. He'd point to them and say "please" when ever they were in his line of sight.

He didn't want to pet them, he just liked looking. We spent a lot of time next to the horse fence.
Bettina has a great lawn with gardens and sculptures for exploring. When it wasn't raining we could just let him go outside and watch from the deck while he tired himself out. Here he is trying to put his ball into a sculpture. He kept at it for quite a while but he wasn't quite tall enough. Almost. Maybe next time!

What a week!
We've had a very busy week! We picked up Grandpop Marshall at LaGuardia on the way to Aunt Bettina's where we stayed for the weekend. On Monday we went to Uncle Tony's memorial service in New York City. We also got word on Monday that our buyers wanted to close on our house on Friday! That started a constant stream of calls to lawyers, realtors, and banks to get everything done on time. But the closing went through and we are now renting "our" house until the 22nd. We did try to put an offer in on a house during the week, but it didn't go through. So, we are currently working to find someplace that will take a short term lease and a cat so we have a place to live between the time our current lease is up and we can find something we want to buy. Poor grandpop was our captive baby sitter for the week, but he survived and got some quality bonding time with Trevor.
It's enough to make you go:

Anyway - stay tuned for some pictures of our week.

Down The Shore
Today was Trevor's first trip "down the shore", as we say in Jersey. I officially declare him a beach bum! We put Trevor down on the beach and he immediately started digging, which he continued for most of the day. Daddy also took him to the edge of the waves and he got his toes wet in the ocean for the first time! He was a little scared at first, but that didn't last long! He kept asking to go back. Anyway - here are some pictures of our little guy by the sea!

Early July
OK - here is the early July highlights tour.
First we have Allan's birthday. I sent Trevor to daycare on Al's birthday and baked him a cake. Here are some pictures of Allan, Trevor, and the cake. Trevor ate the cake fine, as you will see in the pictures, but he preferred the fresh blueberries and strawberries I had left over from decorating the cake!

Here are pictures of Trevor wearing a box on his head.

Al sent Trevor and I to the Home Depot to pick up some supplies for some home improvement projects. While there Trevor made many friends, one even gave him a kid sized Home Depot apron. Here are some pictures of Trevor getting some work done around the house!

Finally, Trevor and I have taken several trips to Terhune Orchards because they have the BEST blueberries in Jersey. They have more than just a farm store, they have barns and animals and pedal tractors... It was hard to get pictures when it was just me, but here are a couple of cute ones...

The 4th of July
We celebrated Trevor's first 4th of July state side by taking him to two fireworks shows, both of which he slept through. The first show was on the night of the 3rd. It was walking distance from our house and we went with our next door neighbors. There was a band and Trevor was inspired to show off his dance moves! You can't really hear the music in this video, but that doesn't take away from the cuteness factor of the performance!
Audrey brought glow sticks for the kids. She put a couple on Snow Flake's harness. (Snow Flake is our neighbor's Jack Russell Terrier and one of Trevor's best buddies.) Well, when we got home Al was struck by a case of "Keeping-up-with-the-Joneses" and decided that Grendel needed glow stick adornment. He put a couple around her neck. Later that night, I took this picture:

June
OK, here is a highlights tour of our June.
This picture is for Grandpa Marshall and Uncle Brian. Gotta start 'em early! (Right?)

Here we are getting a band-aid for our first skinned knee...

Here are some pictures from Trevor's first baseball game! It was a Trenton Thunder game. We took Trevor field side before the game to see the bat dogs and Boomer. Trevor liked the dogs, but, as you can see, he wasn't so sure about Boomer...

Here he is looking cute in the stands!

And another first... Our first Father's Day together! We went to Al's parent's house and took them out to dinner. The dinner was really good and so was the company! When we got to the restaurant, Trevor was fast asleep! But he woke up once the food came. (are you surprised?)

Happy Father's Day Daddy!! We love you!

Allan tried to call (several times) to tell me that he was on his way home and to ask for clarification on the grocery order I placed earlier in the day, but I was pinned down and couldn't answer. He was a little annoyed when he walked in the door, but he understood once he saw us. Thankfully, he gave me something to read after he took this picture.
