June

OK, here is a highlights tour of our June.

This picture is for Grandpa Marshall and Uncle Brian. Gotta start 'em early! (Right?)

Here we are getting a band-aid for our first skinned knee...

Here are some pictures from Trevor's first baseball game! It was a Trenton Thunder game. We took Trevor field side before the game to see the bat dogs and Boomer. Trevor liked the dogs, but, as you can see, he wasn't so sure about Boomer...

Here he is looking cute in the stands!

And another first... Our first Father's Day together! We went to Al's parent's house and took them out to dinner. The dinner was really good and so was the company! When we got to the restaurant, Trevor was fast asleep! But he woke up once the food came. (are you surprised?)

Happy Father's Day Daddy!! We love you!

And, finally, here is a spot where Trevor chose to take a nap one day. He just crawled up onto the couch with me and passed out. For TWO hours. Allan tried to call (several times) to tell me that he was on his way home and to ask for clarification on the grocery order I placed earlier in the day, but I was pinned down and couldn't answer. He was a little annoyed when he walked in the door, but he understood once he saw us. Thankfully, he gave me something to read after he took this picture.

The Hair Cut

OK, I know it's been a while (GG), but your subtle (kinda) hints have paid off (GG)! This is the first of a mass posting fest!

Anyway - first things first. Everyone has been asking about Trevor's hair cut so here are some before and after pictures. Trevor likes to help Grandpop water his flowers! (I think he watered the bed three times before he had his hair cut!)

Mother's Day Adventure

Hi all! Our first Mother's Day adventure was to Longwood Gardens. We had a pretty fun time. Trevor was, of course, cute and he behaved pretty well for most of the afternoon. He liked to try to touch the plants as we walked by them. I'm not sure how people at the Gardens feel about that one, but it was cute to watch. There are a couple of children's gardens there. First we took him to the one in the conservatory. He wasn't too sure about it. It was inclosed and crowded and pretty loud, but we did get him to smile a couple of times. The other children's garden is outside and he had quite an adventure. He decided he liked playing in the fountain. Splashing in the fountain actually. He got soaked. We had an extra shirt to change him into, but not an extra pair of pants. We spent about a half hour pushing him around in his stroller with only his shirt and his diaper while I held his pants out in the sun and the breeze to dry them. Luckily it was very sunny and warm. Even luckier that he's young enough that no one cared that he was seeing Longwood Gardens in his underwear! We ended the outing with a trip to La Tolteca for some enchiladas. It was Trevor's first experience with enchiladas, and he seemed to like them. He had his with red sauce. We figured we'd work him up to green.

Anyway - here are some pictures with captions. Enjoy!

"Daddy, I just got splashed! I'm not sure if I like it..."

"Ooh neat! I wonder what that little blue flower feels like!"

"Fountains are kind of fun..."

"This one looks fluffy! Wonder if it's as soft as Grendel..."

"I heard someone say that there was an outside fountain around somewhere. Let's see if I can find it on the map."

"It's got to be here some where. I just need to look a little closer..."

"It's that way!"

"Silly maps are so hard to fold propperly. I need an iPhone!"

"This chair is just my size!"

"I'm tired of sitting. Time to play!"

"Watch me make waves!"

"Dude, where are my pants?"

"There they are! They're dry enough mom! This is embarrasing!"

"Mmm... Enchiladas..."

Trevor Paints the Town!

Over spring break we took Trevorsaur to NYC for a day. It was mostly a good day, if you don't count the fact that the New York City subway system is the most handicapped/stroller unfriendly place that I have ever been and Trevor's melt down on the train ride home... But we did have some good moments. Here is a highlight tour of the day.

We started off in Chinatown. We didn't hit the Hong Kong Ice Cream Factory this time or get to go into the shops (the stroller doesn't fit), but we had fun playing in Columbus Park and had some really good steamed pork dumplings for lunch.

This is either Mott or Mulberry in Chinatown. Notice the Taiwan flag in the background!

Trevor on the swings in Columbus Park.

This one was staged!

Climbing again!

Climbing again!

Another difficult subway ride took us up town to Central Park where we found a really cool slide (Trevor likes slides!),

visited Strawberry Fields,

and played with Uncle Mike!

On the way back to Penn Station we stopped at a few more landmarks like the LOVE sculpture (we have a similar picture of us in front of the Love sculpture by the Taipei 101 building),

Radio City

and Times Square.

Not bad mileage for a little guy in one day!

This one is for Grandpa Marshall

The child is fearless!! Look at him climb!!

Finally!! Your cuteness quotient properly filled!

So, Matt said that if I didn't update this site soon that he would have to start filling his cuteness quota from a blog featuring a dog. That was the final straw!! Puppies are cute and all, but how can they compare with this:

Or this...

How about this
